Xiaomi Confirmed Tablet Division is Open, MiPad 2 is a Possibility

A rumor recently started spreading that claimed that Xiaomi is planning to shut down their tablet division but the company took to Weibo, the social network in China and confirmed that they are committed to making tablets.

Within a couple of years, Xiaomi has acquired a plausible place in the industry by launching some amazing products. They were the first ones to bring phones with a metal casing at an affordable price range. For a long time, it was reserved only for the iPhone which cost most people an arm and a leg in regions worldwide.

With Mi 4 and other phones, they made a dashing entry. But, it didn’t stop there because Xiaomi also launched the MiPad tablet which is simply too good to not buy at an ultra-affordable pricing. The tablet had a good display, great resolution and packed in enough power to make sure most owners could conveniently use it.

It came as a surprising announcement when rumor suggested that the company may close down this division. After all, they were gearing up to launch the Mi television and a good company could only emerge when it has its wings spread in multiple divisions as Samsung, Panasonic and LG does.

In their message, Xiaomi confirmed that they have no plans to close down the tablet division and added that Mi Pad is one of the best-selling tablets from the manufacturer. They were probably referring to China but it is a good option to purchase as an additional device as it not only comes with a good resolution but also has a 32-bit Nvidia Tegra chip which is a rarity in most devices.

However, the company didn’t speak in detail about the upcoming MiPad 2. It is a high possibility but one can’t confirm a possible launch date at the moment.
