HBO Renews Dwayne Johnson Comedy ‘Ballers


Stephen Levinson, Mark Wahlberg series gets third season

HBO has renewed the comedy joke Ballers for the third season, days after the second season premiere 17 July. Created by Stephen Levinson, the show looks at the "whirlwind in lifestyles and real life problems" of footballers past and present. Dwayne Johnson plays an ex-star who has reinvented himself as a financial manager for the stars in Miami.

"Dwayne Johnson, Stephen Levinson, Mark Wahlberg and the rest of the team Ballers again delivered a winner for our viewers," said Bliss Casey, President of programming for HBO. "We look forward to another great season of Ballers next year."

This season the show two in 5.7 million viewers to date, HBO. The first season Ballers reached 9.1 million viewers in total attendance – rating in HBO half hour more in the past six years.

The show is Executive produced by Levinson, Wahlberg, Johnson, Danny Garcia, Peter Berg and Rob Weiss, varino Julian and Evan Reilly Denis Biggs.
